Many residents on the Newmills, Bomany, Tullygay and Glenswilly areas are without water after the reservoir at Rahan went low.

The reservoir is currently refilling but supplies have been turned off in these areas to allow for the replenishment.

The supply will be returned temporarily tonight (Sat) between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

It will then be switched off again to allow the supply to refill overnight.

Local county councillor Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly asked homeowners to try to avoid running their taps through the night please were possible.

He also asked all local farmers to check all water drinkers both inside and out to ensure they are not leaking or overflowing.
