Sinead McConnell won silver today at the National Race Walking Championships in Dublin.
The Finn Valley AC athlete finished in second in the Masters Women’s 10K race in a time of 63:41 in St. Anne’s Park in Raheny.
Maggie Helen O’Connor of St. Joseph’s AC, Kilkenny was the first across the line in 57:45, with Susanne O’Beirne 3rd in 64:35.
Sinead won bronze in both the 3km and 5km races at the European Masters in Portugal earlier this year. She also led the Irish team home to bronze.
Danny Sharkey of Letterkenny AC was 5th in the Masters Men’s 10K, with a time of 73:02, Ross Alexander of Coolquil AC took the win in 56:02.
