Buncrana mum Vivienne Lynch McDaid to be laid to rest today

The Buncrana community will unite in mourning today to say goodbye to a beloved wife and mother, Vivienne Lynch McDaid.

Vivienne passed away on 8th December in Boston after a bravely borne battle with cancer.

She had been undergoing treatment in the US over the past year. A well-known figure in the community, Vivienne benefitted from huge levels of support from home and abroad during her illness.

Vivienne’s funeral takes place in her hometown this Monday morning. Funeral will be leaving her family home in Umricam, Buncrana F93Y5F1 on Monday, 19th of December, at 10am, travelling to Cockhill Chapel for Mass at 11am, with burial after in the adjoining cemetery.

Vivienne is survived by her loving husband Eamon, son Damien and daughter Chloe, mother Mary, father Gerard, brothers Calvin, Jason, Spencer and sister Amanda, mother and father in law, Lily and Owen. Deeply missed by all her brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
