Met Eireann has issued a status yellow wind alert for Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo this Wednesday.
Strong winds are expected to hit the north west coast on Tuesday night/early hours of Wednesday, bringing mean speeds 50 to 65 km/hr and gusts of 90 to 100 km/hr.
The warning is in place from 00:00 to 06:00 Wednesday 21st December.
