One of our overseas readers is seeking assistance in finding his west Donegal ancestors.
As far as London-born Stuart Boyle can ascertain, his granny was Mary Boyle (nee Duffy) from Meenbanad, Burtonport.
He thinks her sister, Fanny Duffy, was born in 1906 but died giving birth to a child in 1931.
“Also, I have found a gravestone in Cruit island with both her name (Fanny) and her husband John Boyle who died in December 1956. They married in 1928,” he said.
“It has their address as Meenbanad. It’s possible these are my family?”
Stuart would love to know if there are any living relatives in Donegal.
