Glengad FC’s pitch at the Crua was subject to a case of vandalism that has been labelled as the work of ‘thugs’.

A car drove through the gate at the clubs pitch, and drove onto the field, leaving a mess.

A spokesperson for the club said: “We are disappointed at Glengad Fc to see the vandalism that took place at the pitch in the Crua.

“Some thugs thought funny to ram the gate and then proceed to severely damage the playing pitch. These things don’t normally happen in our community.

“The committee have work tirelessly to build the best facilities for our players and the whole community and it is unfortunate that these thugs don’t appreciate this.

“If anyone has any information please contact the Guards in Carndonagh or any committee member.

“Please share and help find who done this!!”
