Donegal LGFA Underage begin ‘Around the world in 5 weeks’ fundraiser challenge

The Donegal LGFA Underage have begun an ‘Around the world in 5 weeks’ fundraiser challenge to raise money for improving facilities.

The challenge begins today (26th December) and will see their U14, U16 and minor squads attempt to walk the circumference of the earth but are looking for anyone to participate.

Starting; 26/12/22 – Ending; 31/01/23
EASY STEPS TO FOLLOW
1 – Download ‘Map My Walk’
2 – Create an account (Enter your club’s name with your surname)
3- Receive a friend request in the app from Executive member Rebecca
Faulkner
4 – Accept the LGFA January 2023 Challenge
5- Get Walking/Jogging/Cycling, while recording it in the app to log your
distance.

While it’s all for a good cause, clubs will be battling it out to see who can be the best in the county, and individual prizes will also be up for grabs.

A spokesperson for the Donegal LGFA, who set up the fundraiser, said: “Ladies football is growing throughout the country and none more so here right in Donegal.

“We have girls competing at u14, u16 and minor level as well as the various PDP squads and we aim to provide  the girls with the best resources and ensure we give them the best experience to improve them as footballers and this help clubs throughout the county

“We ask you join our challenge in January and also make a donation to help our underage within the county. ”
