The Donegal Cancer Flights & Services charity has welcomed the addition of a new car to their fleet.
The car has been funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development under the CLÁR Programme, while additional funds for the community contribution were supported by Derrybeg woman Kathleen Griffin, who braved a charity headshave this month.
Kathleen, who is undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer, shaved her hair live on Facebook to raise an incredible €16,000 for the Donegal Cancer Flights and Services.
The charity has also issued a big thank you “Better Letter Signs’ for the necessary signage requested by funders.
Based in Gweedore, Donegal Cancer Flights & Services operates a service dedicated to the direct provision of community support for Cancer Patients, their families and carers, providing flights, support and free counselling for children with severe or life limiting conditions and their parents and families in the area.
