Picture Special: Malin Head dippers make a splash on St Stephen’s Day!

The chilly sea didn’t stop 40 brave souls from taking the plunge at Port Mór this week – all for two great causes.

The Malin Head community sea swim was hailed a great success on St. Stephen’s Day on Monday.

The fun family event brought a large crowd to the pier to cheer on the dippers. For many, it’s the highlight of their Christmas calendar!

Hot chocolates and hot whiskeys, courtesy of Kilbeggan Whiskey, were provided to help everyone warm up.

The money raised will be split 50/50 between The Friends of Inishowen Hospice and Malin Head Community Association. It’s not too late to donate either, and you can congratulate the swimmers here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/st-stephens-day-swim-malin-head-2022
