Met Eireann has forecast a cold and largely dry morning, but some patchy rain across the south of the province.
It will stay generally dry for the remainder of the day, however outbreaks of rain will develop across southern counties later this evening.
Highest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in mostly light northeast or variable winds.
It looks set to be mostly cloudy on New Year’s Eve night with patchy rain in the south of the province. Generally dry further north and turning cold there with frost and some icy stretches with lowest temperatures of 0 to +2 degrees.
