Friends actress Courteney Cox and her Snow Patrol star partner Johnny McDaid have joined the growing list of celebrities who celebrated Christmas in Donegal this year.

Courteney, Johnny and family paid a visit to The Boathouse Restaurant in Moville on Wednesday last, where they enjoyed a scenic meal by Lough Foyle.

The restaurant team were delighted to welcome the group for their festive meal and get a photo of their famous guests.

It’s believed Courteney and Johnny also rang in the New Year close to Johnny’s home in Derry. Courteney shared two snaps with her 12.2M Instagram followers last night as she celebrated being in the Greenwich Mean Time zone as the clock struck midnight.

The star posted a photo of their New Year’s kiss and wrote, ‘Happy GMT New Year!♥️♥️♥️.’

Donegal seems to be the coolest place for celebrities this season, as Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that she spent Christmas in the south of the county.

Sex And The City star SJP and her husband Matthew Broderick, who have a holiday home in Kilcar, had a quiet holiday by the sea before jetting off for the New Year.

The star took to Instagram this week to say a romantic farewell to her second home.

Alongside a photo of green fields, grey skies and a rainbow, the 57-year-old wrote: “Thank you Ireland. It was a happy. Always hard to leave. But you sent us off nice. X,SJ.”
