This morning will be cold and frosty with icy stretches and freezing fog in places, according to Met Éireann.
Other than a few stray showers near northwest coasts this morning, it will be mostly dry and as any remaining fog breaks up, good sunny spells will develop.
Highs will struggle to get above 1 to 4 degrees in light variable winds, becoming southeasterly and freshening by evening.
Tonight, it will be cloudy and windy with outbreaks of rain, or possibly some sleet initially over higher ground, there will be some drier interludes at times also.
Lowest temperatures early of -1 to +2 degrees, with an early frost developing in some parts, though temperatures will become much milder as the night goes on, in fresh to strong and gusty southeasterly winds veering southwesterly.
