Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue has enjoyed a notable rise in popularity among the farming community, according to a new survey.

A survey by the Irish Farmers Journal reports a seven point rise in approval for the Donegal Minister since September. His positivity rating is now 37%, while the percentage of farmers who view him negatively is down four points to 27%. A survey in June returned a 43% negativity rating for the Minister.

The paper found that Fine Gael leads the farming vote with 37% support.

For more, see today’s edition of the Irish Farmers Journal.
