Gardaí in Inishowen have charged a driver who was caught speeding at 174KPH in a 100KPH zone last night.
The detection was made on the N13 Letterkenny to Derry Road.
Gardaí say weather conditions were very poor at the time with heavy rain and strong winds.
The driver was charged to appear in Court at a future date.
