A weather warning has been issued ahead of a stormy day across Ireland tomorrow (Thursday).
There is a risk of power outages and travel disruption due to strong and gusty westerly winds hitting all counties.
A status yellow alert has been issued by Met Eireann from 5am Thursday 12th January to 2am on Friday morning (13th Jan).
The national foreaster says: “Westerly winds will be very strong and gusty from Thursday morning in the west at first, progressing eastwards from the afternoon, with particularly strong wind gusts especially around coasts and high ground in the northwest.”
