The number of people on the Live Register in Donegal for 2022 has shot up by over 21% compared to the figure from the end of 2021.
There were 9,824 people signed on at the end of December 2022, while the country as a whole saw an increase of 12.7% to 184,642.
2,521 people signed on the register in Letterkenny, the highest figure in the county, with 1,831 people in Inishowen, and 1,221 people signing on in the Finn Valley area.
Every county in the country saw an increase, ranging from 0.9% in Tipperary to 38.1% in Kerry.
Of the 184,642 persons on the Live Register in December 2022, 53.5% were male and 70.5% were Irish.
The 35-44 age group made up the largest number of those on the Live Register in December 2022 at 43,908 persons or 23.8%.
