Oisin Orr landed a 51/1 double at Chelmsford City Racecourse today.
The Rathmullan native had just the two rides in the East of England this evening and made the most of it as he made it two wins from two.
Orr’s first win came on 11/2 shot Yesterday’s Hero making his racing debut for trainer Richard Fahey in the six furlong Maiden Stakes.
The pair sat in midfield before coming wide round the bend and came home strongest to win by a length and a quarter from 2/1 favourite Midnightattheoasis.
Orr’s second win came in the closing race of the card, winning on 7/1 shot Capparis again for Richard Fahey.
Orr had a lot to do on Capparis coming into the straight, well behind the front two, but Orr bided his time and timed the finish perfectly to win by three quarters of a length from Haseef in second.
