Man seriously injured after being struck by van

A man is seriously ill in hospital after being knocked down in east Donegal.

Gardaí are investigating the collision that occurred in Castlefin, on Tuesday afternoon.

“A male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a van. Enquiries are ongoing at this time,” a garda spokesperson said.

It is understood that both the injured party and the driver are from the locality.
