Persistent icy road conditions have been reported across Donegal this Friday morning due to overnight frost.
Treacherous conditions remain on local roads and untreated footpaths in particular. Freezing fog risks have also been reported in Inishowen towns including Moville and Greencastle.
Donegal County Council gritters have been treating all main routes from 5am. Howevever, drivers are advised to assume no road is ice free.
A status yellow ice warning is in place until midday today (Friday).
