Killybegs residents are being warned that dog wardens will be in the town to clamp down on owners failing to clean up after their dogs.
The West Donegal town has had complaints about locals failing to take responsibility and as a result, dog wardens will now be patrolling the streets frequently and issuing fines for those that don’t clean up.
Councillor Niamh Kennedy said: “Warning to all dog walkers in and around the Killybegs area, the dog warden and the litter warden is in the area.
“They have been notified of the failings of dog owners to clean up after their pets. They will be visiting Killybegs on a regular basis and issuing fines where necessary. You have been told, clean up your dogs mess.”
