Two men arrested following aggravated burglary

Gardai have confirmed that two men were arrested following an aggravated burglary at Inch Island in Inishowen.

The incident happened on January 4th at a private house.

Gardai launched an investigation and have now confirmed they arrested two men on Tuesday last, January 24th.

The suspects, in their 20s and 30s, were arrested by armed Gardai in the Inishowen area.

The men were later detained and questioned under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed to Donegal Daily the men have both since been released.

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
