Buncrana Golf Club have warned the culprits who vandalised one of their greens to come forward and settle the situation before they get Gardaí involved.

Vandals took an electric scooter onto the Golf course and did ‘untold damage’ to the greens.

But the club have the CCTV footage of the incident and are asking the culprits to come forward and settle the incident privately or else they will take the matter to the Gardaí.

A club spokesperson said: “Sadly yesterday 2 young gentleman took it upon themselves to enter the course grounds, on an electric scooter, and caused untold damage to our 8th green, over a 14 minute period of pure havoc, where they rallied their scooter around the green for the entire period.

“The culprits have been caught on the clubs CCTV and can be seen entering the course at approximately 17.38 and leaving at 17.52, after causing 14 minutes of destruction.

“They have one chance and one chance only. If they would like to contact the club to settle this amicably, they know where we are.

“Otherwise we will be forced to post these videos online and hand the videos over to the Garda, who we are sure will be very interested indeed in what they can see and hear.
