All-Ireland bronze for Loreto Letterkenny basketball team

Loreto Letterkenny took Bronze at the All-Ireland Under-19 A league yesterday in Dublin.

The Letterkenny girls were in action at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght for the competition which saw them defeat Mercy Secondary School, Mounthawk 56-38 in the quarter-final.

However, their time in the competition was ended by Mount Sackville in the semi-final, 55-71.

It’s a second appearance in the semi-final for the girls this year, with the Declan Nee coached team also getting to the final four in the cup.
