It’s going to be a very wet St Brigid’s Day, according to Met Éireann.

Overall, it will be a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers today.

However, the showers will merge into longer spells of rain in the northwest at times. Breezy with fresh to strong and gusty westerly winds. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees.

It will be cloudy tonight with some occasional rain or drizzle. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in fresh west to southwest winds with some mist and hill fog.
