Killybegs man appointed on National Gallery of Ireland Board of Governors and Guardians

Killybegs native Adrian O’Carroll has been appointed to the Board of Governors and Guardians of the National Gallery of Ireland.

O’Carroll is one of four appointees that will serve a five-year term along with Dr Michelle D Cullen, Ms Margie McCarthy and Dr Sandra Collins.

Commenting on the appointments, Minister Martin said:

“I am delighted to announce the appointments of these dynamic candidates with a diversity of experience which will support the operations and ambition of the National Gallery of Ireland for the coming five years. I wish to congratulate all four appointees and thank them for taking on these important roles. I wish them the very best during their terms.”

Ms Mary Keane, Chairperson of the NGI Board of Governors and Guardians:

“The National Gallery of Ireland is a wonderfully dynamic and modern institution and I am delighted that we are announcing the appointment of Dr Sandra Collins, Dr Michelle D Cullen, Margie McCarthy and Adrian O’Carroll to the Board. These appointments bring a breadth of additional skills and governance experience to the Gallery as we concentrate on developing our next Strategic Plan and enabling our important work over the coming years.”
