Earagail Arts Festival has announced a very special opportunity with a select number of bursaries (to the value of €295 each) for the annual Home with The Henry Girls Residency.

Successful participants will get the chance to join The Henry Girls in their home village of Malin (Malin Presbyterian Church) from 17th – 21st July 2023 for 5 days of song writing, traditional pub sessions and concerts.

The residency will take place with group workshops each day from 10am until 4pm, with coffee breaks and lunch provided on site.

As part of the residency, The Henry Girls will explore the necessary tools and skills for inspiring and facilitating the craft of song writing, arranging and performing. All levels of experience welcome, some musical knowledge preferred, suitable for ages 16+ (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the bursary).

Sponsored residency places are offered to participants who might otherwise be unable to attend due to a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, financial constraints.

Earagail Arts Festival is committed to supporting the inclusion and skills development of people from different ethnic backgrounds, people with a disability and those from rural communities.

The bursary includes workshop fees, lunch each day and admission to Henry Girls concerts during Earagail Arts Festival 2023. The bursary does not include accommodation, evening meals and other optional activities.

Applicants must be aged 16+ on 17th July 2023 (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the bursary). If you would like to apply for one of the Home with The Henry Girls Residency Bursaries, download the application form on www.eaf.ie and submit it to info@eaf.ie by 1st April (limited number of bursaries available).

Earagail Arts Festival is kindly supported by Donegal County Council, Arts Council Ireland & Wild Atlantic Way

The 2023 Earagail Arts Festival takes place on 8th – 23rd July.
