Breaking: Car destroyed in suspected arson attack

Gardaí in Lifford are investigating a suspected arson attack on a car in the town overnight.

Emergency services were alerted in the early hours of this morning that a 191 BMW was on fire outside a house.

“Fire services attended and extinguished the fire. Significant damage was caused to the vehicle and nearby property. Investigations are ongoing,” a spokesperson for the Garda Press Office said.

Members of the Garda Divisional Crime Scene Investigation team were at the scene this morning.
