Ballyraine FC will host the inaugural Andy O Boyle Memorial Cup this Saturday and Sunday the 11th and 12th of February in tribute to a local legend.

Andy O’Boyle, a retired Garda Sergeant and respected community man, passed away last October.

He was the driving force behind Ballyraine FC and is dearly missed by all at the club.

This weekend, Andy will be in the hearts of young club members, coaches and families as they take part in the Andy O Boyle Memorial Under 17 Cup at the Letterkenny Community Centre.

Club Chairman Enda Nicholls says the club is delighted to welcome friends Neilston Whites from Glasgow, Top of the Hill Celtic from Derry and neighbours Bonagee United in what should be a festival of football played over two days in memory of club founder the recently deceased Andy O Boyle.

“Andy was a legend of schoolboys football in the county and this is a great way to remember his legacy,” they said.’

All welcome to come and enjoy a great weekend of football in memory of a football legend.
