Gardai in Letterkenny are to introduce more patrols following an increase in anti-social behaviour on the town’s streets.
A spokesperson has confirmed that some areas of the town has seen an increase in such incidents.
Gardai have moved to reassure the public that they are investigating all complaints when made by the public.
The spokesperson said “We have received recent reports in relation to antisocial behaviour involving groups of young people at various locations within Letterkenny.
“We wish to reassure the public that each matter reported to us will be fully investigated and we advise anybody who is subject to any type of antisocial behaviour to report the matter to us without delay.
“Additional patrols will now take place at the locations that have already been brought to our attention.”
