Donegal Youth Service has been awarded the European Youth Information and Counselling Agency’s (ERYICA) Quality label in recognition of the provision of high quality information.
The Label is designed to provide wider recognition for quality youth information services and support young people in finding quality information and has been developed in the framework of the Council of Europe – ERYICA Partnership Agreement in 2019-2020.
The Youth Information Manager Gareth Gibson (pictured above) said: “Our team take great pride in their work and ensure the provision of accurate and unbiased information whether it’s to visitors of the Youth Information Centre here in Letterkenny or through our online work which includes the YIChat in partnership with SpunOut, Crosscare, Youth Work Ireland and YMCA, so we are all very pleased to have recognition of our hard work from a Europe wide organization such as ERYICA”.
Youth Information Officer Katarzyna Kurzeja said: “I am delighted that Letterkenny Youth Information Centre has been awarded this prestigious Label. It is a visible sign that tells young people that they can rely on information provided in our centre, that the quality meets the highest standards, and that a particular piece of information is verified, true and unbiased.”
