Brave warrior Rocco McGinley to be laid to rest on Friday

Funeral details have been announced for beloved teen Rocco McGinley of Buncrana.

Rocco, aged 15, had been undergoing cancer treatment for the past two years.

He passed away at his home this morning surrounded by his loving family.

A third-year pupil at Scoil Mhuire Buncrana, he inspired countless others with his bravery, gentle ways and his kindness.

Obituary notice for Rocco Mcginley, 1 Tirmacool Rd, Buncrana:

Beloved Son of Yvonne and Wade McGinley loving brother of Warren, Jordan, Dean, Cooper, Winter Lily, Arya and Bodhi dear grandson of Carl and Anna McGinley and Mary Hegarty and the late Desmond Hegarty R.I.P.

House private today, Tuesday, for family only.

Remains will repose at his home from Wednesday 22nd February. Removal from there on Friday at 9.15 a.m. going to St Mary’s Oratory for 10 o’clock requiem mass with burial afterwards in Cockhill cemetery. Family flowers only donations if desired to Letterkenny University Hospital pediatric ward. Family time from 11pm to 11am
