Mark English led a world class field to win the 800m race in Madrid this evening.
The Letterkenny man finished in an impressive 1:46.57 at The World Athletics Continental Tour gold level indoor meet at the Gallur Municipal Sports Centre.
English crossed the line just ahead of Spain’s Pablo Sanchez-Valladares who recorded a new personal best of 1:46.83.
It has been an eventful week for the Finn Valley clubman who won his ninth Irish senior indoor title on Sunday.
