People all over Donegal are being invited to join a ‘jean-ius’ fundraiser for The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
Denim Day for Dementia fundraiser takes place nationwide on Friday, 3rd of March.
Derry model Joanna Cooper is supporting the campaign to help raise vital funds for families living with dementia.
Joanna says ‘I know first-hand the struggles families go through when their loved one has dementia; how emotional and lonely it can be. My lovely Mum was diagnosed with the condition at the age of 62′.
Joanna is asking everyone from around Ireland to don their denims – to the crèche, school, work, or wherever they will be – on Friday, March 3rd, and donate to support families impacted by dementia.
There are over 64,000 people living with dementia in Ireland, 2,500 alone in Donegal. The ASI provides vital care and support to people living with dementia and their families.
