Dr James McDaid may have been born a Termon man but Letterkenny has claimed him as their own for many years.

Today, just moments before the stand at St. Eunan’s GAA ground in Letterkenny was named after him, he took time out to talk to Donegal Daily sports reporter Charlie Collins.

A nervous but excited Dr McDaid spoke about his honour of having the stand named after him as well as the work that went into securing the funding to having it built.
