A Lifford man has been introduced to the Donegal Courts Service as a new practising solicitor.
Jason Laverty was introduced to Letterkenny District Court by veteran Mr. Kieran O’Gorman solicitor.
Mr. O’Gorman remarked great pleasure at introducing a local man to the profession which in recent years has become dominated by wonderful female practitioners and wished him the greatest success in his career.
The recently qualified Mr. Laverty was educated in Lifford National School, then at Finn Valley College in Stranorlar before undertaking his degree in ATU Letterkenny which during the course of his final year had to complete work experience.
Mr Laverty secured his placement in Browne & Co Solicitors LLP in Letterkenny where he has remained since completing his Professional Practice and Training.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham expressed her warm welcome to Mr. Laverty and wished him well in his career.
ON behalf of An Garda Siochana Sergeant Jim Collins also expressed his welcome to Mr. Laverty on behalf of the Gardai.
Mr. Laverty thanked everyone for their welcome and expressed his delight at being able to practise in his home county of Donegal.
