Excitement is in the air in Narin/Portnoo as actress Helena Bonham Carter films scenes for the new Irish drama ‘Four Letters of Love’.

The Harry Potter star has been spotted in full costume working on location by the seaside.

The Narin/Portnoo resort was looking picture-perfect as filming took place on the snow-covered beach and by the pier in recent days.

Residents and visitors alike have been eager to catch glimpses of Helena Bonham Carter on set. Boats and fishing equipment were used to set the scene for the story, which takes place on an island off the west coast of Ireland and in Dublin.

Helena Bonham Carter’s co-star Pierce Brosnan has also been spotted filming in various locations in Donegal in recent days. Glenveagh National Park, Dunfanaghy beach, Dunlewey and Doochary all enjoyed some cinema action over the past week.

Four Letters of Love comes from the novel of the same name by Niall Williams, originally published in 1997.

Brosnan and Bonham Carter star as the parents of fated lovers played by up-and-coming actors Fionn O’Shea Fionn O’Shea (Dance First) and Ann Skelly (The Nevers). Gabriel Byrne will also star in the film, directed by Polly Steele (Let Me Go).

Film fans will be eagerly anticipating the release of this new film, which promises to capture the charm and beauty of Donegal and Northern Ireland’s north coast.
