Two people have died following road crashes in counties Limerick and Louth.
In Limerick, a woman died following a single-vehicle crash near Pallasgreen.
The crash happened at around 3.30am in the Kilduff area.
The woman, who was aged in her 20s, was the driver of the car and died at the scene.
A man in his 30s, who was a passenger in the vehicle, is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
Two children who were also in the car are being treated for injuries, which Gardaí say are not life-threatening.
The road where the crash happened is closed and local diversions are in place.
Meanwhile in Louth, a man in his 30s died in a single-vehicle crash.
The crash happened at around 2.30am on the R176 in Carlingford.
The man’s body was moved to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
