All routes to be gritted as ice and snow forecast in Donegal

Donegal County Council has confirmed that all main routes will be gritted tonight and tomorrow morning as temperatures drop to lows of -2C.

All main routes will be gritted from 8pm tonight (Monday) and the gritters will be out again tomorrow morning at 6am.

A weather warning is in place for Donegal tonight due to icy and snowy conditions.

Met Eireann forecasts: “There will be falls of snow in places overnight and some of the showers may be heavy with a chance of hail and thunder. Lowest temperatures of between -2 and +2 degrees with icy stretches developing on some untreated roads and paths.”
