Singer/songwriter Darren Burke is singing a song for the hills of Donegal this week, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day and summer festival season.
The Portnoo man, best known as Darren Boot will release ‘Donegal Has it All’ this Wednesday.
The lyrics are a celebration of the people, culture and sport of the ‘big wee county up the north’.
“No finer people you will meet than us here in Donegal,” Darren sings.
Darren said the song was written simply as a happy song for everyone with a connection to Donegal.
“The county has had it tough this last while, so it’s nice to have a wee bit of positivity and celebrate ourselves and everyone with Donegal connections around the world,” he said.
“Massive thanks goes to Joe Gibson who took to this song to another level with the Fiddle and to Tommy Conway at Full Tilt Studios who is a genius behind the controls and a gentleman to work with.”
Donegal Has it All will be available to stream everywhere from Wednesday March 15th and Darren is hoping people will sing the song loud and proud. Have an early listen here:
