Thieves made off with around 1.5 tonnes of copper cable in a late night raid in south Donegal.

The cable was stolen from a yard at Drumkeelin, Mountcharles sometime between 12.30am and 1.20am on the morning of Thursday, March 9th.

Gardaí say they are particularly interested in any sightings of a white van which was seen in the area at around the time of the incident.

Ballyshannon gardaí are investigating and they would like to hear from members of the public who might have information, or may have dashcam footage which may assist.
