Met Éireann has issued a moderate snow and ice warning for Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim and Sligo tonight (Tuesday).
There is a risk of lying snow and freezing temperatures as low as -3C in Ulster counties this Tuesday evening and Tuesday night.
“Falls of sleet and snow Wednesday morning could produce some temporary accumulations,” Met Eireann warns.
The public is being urged to take care due to potential icy roads and paths and hazardous travelling conditions.
The status yellow warning comes into place at 6pm and will last until 12noon Wednesday.
