Donegal Diabetes Committee are calling an emergency meeting to form a committee as all current members have now retired or have had to leave due to health related issues.
A spokesperson said it would be a terrible loss to have no Donegal Diabetes Committee so we are asking parents of children with diabetes or adults living with diabetes to support this evening’s meeting.
The first item on the agenda is, once the committee is formed to organise a weekend away to Bundoran for families.
This weekend has been provisionally booked for 26, 27th may.
The spokesperson added “However, in the absence of a committee, this can’t be organised.
“This is always a great support to adults and very enjoyable for the kids. It would be important that this weekend can be organised.
“We do hope you come along and support your local diabetes committee.”
The meeting takes place this evening Wednesday, March 15th in the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny starting at 7pm.
