Eunan’s GAA club has announced plans to unveil memorials in honour of two local men who passed away in 2018.
Noel McDermott and Michael McGrath remain dearly missed by family and friends and all in the St. Eunan’s family.
Noel, late of Hawthorn Heights and Gortahork, was tragically killed while cycling in January 2018. The following week, the community lost another young man, Michael McGrath, who died from cancer.
This St. Patrick’s Day, St. Eunan’s GAA club plans to honour both Noel and Michael by naming sections of O’Donnell Park after the two great volunteers.
The car park will be named after the late Noel McDermott, and the hurling wall after the late Michael McGrath
The ceremony will take place at 6pm on Friday March 17th.
A spokesperson said: “It is a huge honour for the club to have both these great individuals and clubmen forever remembered and be part of O’Donnell park. Everyone is invited to come and take part in this very special ceremony.”
