The tragic murder of Tyrone teenager Arlene Arkinson will be featured in an upcoming true crime documentary on TG4.
Marú Inár Measc returns in March to shine a light on four devastating cases that took place in Ireland.
The programme shines a light on the effect that fatal crimes have on society, local communities and on the victim’s families as they are left without answers.
Episode 2, airing on TG4 on 29th March 2023, features the family of 15 year old Arlene Arkinson who was last seen on the 14th of August 1994 as she left her home in Castlederg, Co. Tyrone to attend a disco in Bundoran.
Her body has never been found but over 20 years later it would be ruled at inquest that she was abducted and murdered by serial killer Robert Howard. Her family still search for her remains to this day.
Marú Inár Measc blends observational documentary with key testimonies from those who continue to be deeply affected by the tragedy. Arlene’s sister Kathleen (pictured above) is one of the contributors to the programme.
Including interviews with Gardaí who were close to the case; those first on the scene and those who interviewed the perpetrator at the time, the series features extremely personal interviews with the family members and friends of murder victims as they continue to fight for justice to this very day.

Producers from Midas Productions said: “This series could not have been made without the co-operation of each family and loved ones who shared their story and allowed us the privilege of filming with them.”
