Athletics: Rosses AC’s Declan Ferry wins St Patrick’s Day 5k

There was double delight for Rosses AC at the St Patrick’s Day 5k road race in Letterkenny.

Declan Ferry is a man in great form at present and he was first home in 16 minutes 11 seconds.

He was followed by his clubmate Shane O’Donnell who was second in 16:31 with Gavin Crawford of Letterkenny AC third in 17:57.

Next past the finish line was Natasha Kelly of Finn Valley AC who was fourth overall and first female athlete in 18:10.

Sponsored by Letterkenny Glass, the annual race marks the start of the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the town.
