Letterkenny 24/7 Triathlon club hosted a very successful Splash and Dash event on Sunday morning.

Organised in conjunction with Triathlon Ireland, 73 junior triathletes from ages 5 to 15 competed in the event.

The Splash and Dash is designed to give young athletes a taste of what triathlons are all about. Race distances varied from one length of the 25m pool and one lap of the 400m track for the youngest competitors to three pool lengths and an 800m run for the oldest competitors.

A big well done to all the children on completing the course (and receiving their goodie bag), and thanks to all involved in making this such a successful event.

The club is planning on another Splash and Dash race in May.
