The Inishowen Environmental Group will hold their annual sale of native hardwood trees and shrubs next weekend.

The event will take place at Donagh Cross, Carndonagh, on Saturday, March 25 from 11am onwards.

As usual, they hope to include the following, mostly bare-root species of trees on sale: oak, willow, silver birch, guelder-rose, alder and more.

“Arrive on time and you won’t be disappointed,” a spokesperson for the group said.

“Help us to create ecosystems for the declining insect population by planting trees.”

The group is committed to encouraging individuals and groups to plant trees and shrubs, encouraging wildlife and, as a result, sustainable biodiversity in the living environment.  “This is our first tree sale event since the Pandemic, so we welcome your support by planting a tree and looking after our planet.”

Volunteers are also sought to help on the day.
