Man brought to hospital after late night assault

A man needed hospital treatment for injuries he sustained after he was assaulted in Letterkenny late on St. Patrick’s night.

The incident happened at Upper Main Street at around 4am on Saturday, March 18th.

Gardaí say the man was standing waiting on a taxi when he was approached and assaulted by a man who was not known to him. 

The injured man was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment on injuries sustained.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the assault of if they have any relevant information on the incident to contact them at  Letterkenny station on 074 91 67100.
