Victor Fisher is the newly elected Honorary President of Letterkenny Rovers FC.

The former Town Councillor, who has been a long-time member of the club, was elected as president at the annual general meeting of Letterkenny Rovers in the Station House Hotel on Friday night.

The position of president had become vacant following the death last July of Liam Blake.

Tributes were paid to Liam at Friday night’s meeting on what was an emotional night for those present. Earlier this month, the club lost another valued club member and friend with the death of Kieran McGrath while in November, former player and club member Liam Collins died.

A minute’s silence was observed for all three men, along with other deceased family members and supporters who had died during the past year.
