A young Donegal student has scooped a major award in the world of animation.
Eoghan Bonner was named the Young Animator of the Year at the Animation Dingle Festival 2023.
Talented Eoghan is a fifth year pupil at Gairmscoil Mhic Diarmada on Arranmore
Eoghan’s animation ‘New Utopian Age’ was selected as this years winner at the festival at the weekend.
And it wasn’t any old animation judge who selected Eoghan’s work as one to watch.
He was chosen as the winner by none other than Ryan Ross, the Vice President of animation at Disney.
Eoghan was joined my his mum and dad and sisters in Dingle for the amazing event.
A spokesperson for Eoghan’s school said “We are so proud of you, well done from all at GSMD!”
